Aisha Hinds is an American actor best known for playing roles in the tv shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has proven her range as an actress through stunning performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. Her performance of Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to grab her the attention of viewers. It was however her performance as the feminist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind earned praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historic drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show to a third season. Hind recently wrapped up production on the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which will release in the middle of the year. Her dad Krishnaraj was a Army scientist who died March 18 2017 and her mother Vrinda works as a homemaker. There is an older brother Aditya Rai who works as a merchant navy engineer. Akhila Rai, Bachchan's elder brother, coproduced and cowrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school in which Bachchan was a student before her family relocated to Mumbai. Her intermediate studies were completed with Jai Hind College for a year prior to enrolling in D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. She scored 90% in her H.S.C. exams. She was a classical music student and dance for five years through her teenage time. Her favorite subject was zoology. Bachchan was studying architectural studies when she was crowned Miss World in 1994. Her title helped propel her into the industry of modeling's fastest lane. She was enlisted by PepsiCo Inc., Vogue magazine as well as L'Oreal Paris as spokesmodel in 2003. Her acting career got off in a positive direction with her highly praised performances in Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Bachchan turned into the face of New Bollywood with these films which defied the basic Bollywood structure. Bachchan was crowned the queen of Bollywood through her portrayal of Paro the lover who was betrayed in Devdas a film which was among Bollywood's most successful films. The film was also the first Bollywood film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The following year, she received praised for her role in the film Chokher (2003) that was an intense thriller based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel. This year she was named the first Indian actress on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan appeared as Bride and Prejudice by Gurinder Chadha. It is a ballet and musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. That was when Bachchan brought her star power and a beautiful face to her first major English-language film. Bachchan returned to Bollywood for the smash Dhoom: 2 (2006) ahead of releasing Provoked The Story of Provoked True Story (2006) in English. In April 2007, she was married to Abhishek Bachchan, who was a frequent co-star as well as the father of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's most prominent personalities.
